Moon Tiger will no doubt give rise to lively, controversial discussions in book clubs, with some members resistant to the narrative innovations and others dazzled and impressed by them.

A fruitful line of discussion would therefore be whether these techniques are integral to the book or superimposed upon it (that is, whether the novel would be basically the same, and maybe more satisfying, if the jumbled chronology were untangled and presented in sequential fashion and if a consistent narrative point of view were employed).
