Claudia Hampton

Claudia is extremely self-centered, to the point that she wonders why that trait is considered a flaw. While agreeing, as a historian, that others deserve to have their say, she is supremely confident that in the end only Claudia's opinion matters. As a child, she was willful and disobedient, getting muddy and refusing to eat her milk pudding. To Claudia, throughout her life, she simply should not be bound by the conventions and expectations that limit other people. She has no doubt that she is more intelligent, more adventurous and more interesting than anyone she will ever meet. Claudia has green eyes and red hair. She remembers a rich relation once exclaiming, "A real delicious red-haired green-eyed little myth!" Throughout her life, Claudia thinks of herself as a mythical creature.
