Summary

In Chapter 20, Darkstalker demands that Moon keep this secret because it would mean every dragon could shield their thoughts. Ostrich hands Moon the amulet and she can hear no thoughts other than her own. The silence is total and frightening even though she can still hear the normal sounds of the world. She compares it to being underwater or in a “two-dimensional world.” Moon shoves the amulet at Qibli and is “unbelievably glad” to hear the chaotic thoughts. Moon knows she has a limited opportunity to read Onyx's thoughts and she asks a direct question about the explosion. Onyx's thoughts indicate she did not cause it but she seems to be working on some other plan regarding the SandWings, Queen Thorn, and Qibli. She retrieves the amulet and her thoughts end before Moon can more information. Moon asks Darkstalker for help. He counters...
