Summary

In Chapter 3, Moon struggles with the chaos of all the dragons in the school, especially considering the “mystery mind-voice” and Kinkajou's energy. Kinkajou is excited about learning to read and points out the announcements and inspirational sayings posted around the halls. They reach the library which is welcoming and filled with scrolls and reading places. Starflight, a NightWing and member of the dragonets who ended the war and then founded the school, is the librarian. He is blind but recognizes dragonets from their voices. Moon likes Starflight, who is also not part of the main NightWing tribe. He gives Moon her personal library stamp which will be used to help track scrolls, and a pouch in which to carry it.
