Summary

This section begins with Matt conferencing with Abe and Shannon about Mary possibly making the insurance call, as well as he and Mary's meetings by the creek to smoke. He confesses that the cigarettes, matches, and notes were his, and Janine then confesses that she gave them to Mary prior to the explosion as she had suspicions about Matt and Mary. Janine also admits making the call to the insurance company, as well as reveals her investment in Pak's business. Matt feels almost relieved that Janine has deceived him as it alleviates some of his own guilt. The two reflect on their broken marriage, as they come to terms with the lies they have both told.
