Summary

Nate and Abby have a half day off from school; so, they go to Coppo Park to toss the football back and forth. Nate makes Abby wear her special glasses even though she doesn't want to wear them. On one of the passes, Abby stumbles and falls but not before the football hits her in the head, knocking off her special sunglasses. Nate rushes to Abby to help her, and she thanks him for keeping her in the game one more time.

In Chapter 6, things are different around Nate's house because his dad is working a second job as a night manager at Big Bill's Sports store in a neighboring town.
