Summary

In Chapter 10, each time Misha leaves food for Janina, he finds a gift on the step. One day he finds a boy stealing the bread he left. They get into a fight and he returns to Uri bloodied. Another night he goes to Janina's in the dark and a figure shoots his earlobe off in the street. Uri tells him there is a curfew. He ties Misha to his body in the night so he will not try to leave. Later, he and Uri meet the boys at the cemetery, Ferdi, Olek, Enos, and Kuba tease Misha about the leash. While playing, they find a tombstone shaped like an angel. The other boys do not believe in angels, but Misha wants to. He asks Uri about it later. Uri says he believes in bread.
