Edward Cullen

Edward Cullen is the primary narrator of the work; he is also a vampire. In truth he is over 100 years old, however, given that he is immortal, he and his siblings pose as high school students so they can reside in Forks, Washington for a stretch of time. Edward is the only single member of his vampire clan as the mate his father chose for him, Rosalie, was not desirable to him. Despite the odds and complications, Edward finds himself falling for a human: Bella Swan. Initially he is attracted to the sweetness of her blood but ultimately he is attracted to the beauty of her soul.
