Midnight

Midnight is the main setting of the novel and where the majority of the characters live. It is a small town. All of Midnight's residents have some type of secret that they have come there hoping to hide. While outsiders think they are strange, they are a close knit community who work together to support each other and keep their respective secrets.

The Pawnshop

Bobo is the current owner of the pawnshop which is in Midnight. Lem was the previous owner. Bobo, Lem, and Olivia live in the same building as the pawnshop. This is where the two men come looking for the weapons and where Lisa places a bug to spy on Bobo. Bobo later reveals that the weapons that everyone has been looking for are hidden there. Previously, Lem had hidden some books in the same place. They are not in Bobo’s apartment.
