Book 4, Gender Dysphoria in San Francisco Summary

Cal's host for the last leg of his journey is a man named Bob Presto. Presto tells Cal that he can drive him the rest of the way to California. Presto had once been a radio announcer and had the voice for it. However, he doesn't say what his most current career is but by his car and jewelry, Cal can tell it is a lucrative one. The men arrive in San Francisco by that evening. Cal begins to feel more scared than ever. Now that he is actually in California, he has no idea what he is going to do or where he is going to go.
