Summary

As Valerian and Albert walk along the street, Alber apologizes for telling the hospital that Valerian was “half-witted,” but he says he wanted to avoid problems with the police, especially considering Valerian's weapon (17). Valerian says he managed to destroy the entity. They discuss it more at a restaurant. Based on the description, Albert says this entity is not related to the first, which was why Valerian was sent to 1980. Albert produces copies of newspapers with information about the first entity, that make references to “a muddy monster” (17). There is also a story with a picture of what the media is calling a “flying saucer,” that Albert says was actually an operation Galaxity executed after the first entity (18).
