Chapters 6-7 Summary

In chapter six, Garrett thinks about Catherine, his wife, as he prepares Happenstance for the night's voyage. They had known each other since early childhood but drifted apart until Garrett returned home after finishing college. After running into each other on Wrightsville Beach, they were inseparable and married a short time later. Now Garrett remembers their first sail on Happenstance.
