Part Two, Chapter 9 Summary

Allie visits Pauline Cioffi, Maggie's best friend. Pauline tells Allie that she knew Maggie wanted to die. Not only this, but Pauline admits that Maggie told her she intended to ask Jamie to kill her. Allie is excited by this news, because it can only help when they go to trial. In Wheelock, Cam goes for a drive in his car to clear his head and try to focus on Allie. Cam pulls his car to the side of the road and thinks about a time when Cam took Allie on a picnic near this area. Allie became upset that she had forgotten a blanket.
