Chapter 32 Summary

Nobu and Sayuri continue entertaining the Minister with the help of Pumpkin, Mameha and the Chairman. Sayuri's feelings for the Chairman become stronger as she spends more time with him, enjoying studying his features when no one else is watching. One evening Sayuri snaps out of her daze looking at the Chairman to find Pumpkin watching her with a strange look on her face.

Pumpkin isn't present at the next meeting and the Chairman is late. Mameha and Sayuri decide to entertain Nobu and the minister with a dance. The Chairman enters just before the dance begins and Sayuri changes the topic of the dance to show the Chairman her feelings. When she has finished she is shocked to see the depth of emotion on the Chairman's face yet more shocked when he then.....
