Summary

Part Three opens with Chapter 31, "My Wandering Uterus." Lori begins the section by revealing a secret to us. Something is wrong with her body. She is not sure what, exactly. The doctors do not seem to know either. All they know its hat her medicals tests the last year have produced unusual results. She has strange rashes, has been unusually fatigued, and week, and has had a weak stamina, in addition to an irregular heart rate and unexplained infections. So far, there has been no diagnosis. All the tests for diseases have come back negative. One doctor thinks it is just anxiety, or female hysteria. This is called "wandering uterus" syndrome (222), meaning it was all in her head. Lori entertains that possibility, but her symptoms are chronic and are getting progressively worse, according to her internist. One specialist told her it was possible...
