Summary

In Chapter 10, "The Future is Also Present," Lori goes to her second therapy session with Wendell. She confesses that she caved and phoned Boyfriend and when he did not pick up, she left a voicemail. She says she wanted to just get some questions answered so she could stop obsessing over their breakup. Unfortunately, this only resulted in her subjecting Boyfriend to a several-hour interrogation in which she tried to solve the mystery of what exactly led to their sudden breakup. Finally, one session Wendell gets up, walks over to where she is sitting, and gently kicks her (62). Lori considers for the first time how far she is on the L-shaped couch.
