Chapter Ten Summary

Chapter Ten begins as Heath announces that Annabelle will need a cottage at Wind Lake Campground. Annabelle stares at him. She sees the little pulse beating at his neck as he challenges her to tell the women that she had been fired. He wishes she had known that she was rehired. He goes on to claim that Annabelle has made a bet that he can't go the weekend without taking a phone call. Annabelle would like to deny Heath this opportunity but she knows she would be sabotaging herself. Later on the way back to the city, Annabelle says what she wanted to say in front of the women.
