Chapters 41-48 Summary

A hearing on the Repository incident is convened. Kingsley is called, and explains he is an undercover agent investigating murders and suspects, including Bliss, Mimi, and Schuyler. Kingsley counts off Bliss and Schuyler as offenders, but then says Mimi wanted to destroy Schuyler. Charls Force is then called in for questioning. Charles recalls walking in on Mimi trying out a spell. Mimi is convicted, and Jack knows Mimi is innocent. The only thing Mimi can do to save herself is to submit to an ancient blood ritual, one only Allegra Van Alen is capable of performing.

Schuyler cannot believe that Mimi wanted to destroy her. Lawrence reveals that Kingsley is a Silver Blood by birth only, but that his allegiance is to the Blue Bloods. Lawrence reveals that he has doubts about the Martin family, however. Jack attempts to convince Schuyler...
