Chapters 21-24 Summary

Chapter 21:

Zoey calls Grandma Redbird. Grandma tells Zoey that she can tell her anything and nothing will change - she will always love Zoey. Grandma says Zoey's spirit is always her spirit.

Zoey tells her grandmother that she can feel the elements while she is in a circle.

Grandma Redbird replies: "If that is the truth, you have been given great power, Zoey. And you know that with great power comes great responsibility. Our family has a rich history of Tribal Elders, Medicine Men, and Wise Women. Have a care, Little Bird, to think before you act. The Goddess would not have granted you special powers on a whim." Chap. 21, p. 221
