Marc

Marc is a sixth grader as the novel opens, and he is in trouble for losing his temper. Marc has changed significantly from the end of the fifth grade, mainly because Uncle Jake spend the previous summer teaching Marc how to become a Warrior Kid. Marc continued to follow Jake's advice over the school year, and he has become physically stronger, more respectful, and happier. However, Marc is now having to deal with the teasing of a boy named Nathan. Marc is having trouble controlling his temper. Even after Jake teaches him how to recognize that his temper is beginning to flare, Marc has trouble getting control.
