Chapters 4-6 Summary

When Dennys wakes up, he is terrified. He thinks he is back in the awful tent and he cann't find the unicorn. An older woman soothes him, and he also sees a younger woman. He recognizes Japheth but is too weak to answer questions. Japheth tells him not to be afraid. The small man carries him to a cooler place. He asks for water, but they don't have any. The family members are kind and give him other things to drink. The girl offers to give him some water from Grandfather Lamech's well, and Dennys overhears her ask woman why her father won't reconcile with Grandfather Lamech. The older girl explains that their father was hurt when the grandfather insisted on staying in his own tent.
