Chapter 41 Summary

Piper had no idea that Magee would bring a black kid to his party. The McNab boys, along with their brother John and the rest of the Cobras or shocked as Magee walks in the steel front door with Mars Bar. Magee got the idea, thinking about how Grayson knew very little about the people on the East End, and the fact that neither race ever goes into the opposite race's house. Magee felt this would be a chance for both sides to learn about each other.

It wasn't easy trying to convince Mars Bar to come to the West End, until Magee tells him the reason he is not as bad as he thinks, is because he is scared to cross Hector Street. With Mars Bar determined to prove Magee wrong, they first go to the Pickwell's house to eat, where the family welcomes Mars Bar...
