Chapter 28 Summary

The first book that Grayson is able to read by himself is The Little Engine that Could and when he finishes, Magee says "Amen," which Magee learned to say at church when someone says or does something you really like. Grayson has brought in things to make the band shell more livable, such as a chest of drawers, space heater, toaster oven, refrigerator, and a mat that Magee never sleeps on. It is getting late and after Magee makes them a snack, he convinces Grayson to stay the night.
