Chapter Four Summary

Alex wraps herself in a towel as best she can and goes to find Casey. He has been fixing coffee and cookies. He helps her switch the towel for a blanket with the promise of going after her clothes when they finish eating. Alex finds the blanket to be abrasive and believes Casey has used it to trick her. She informs him she won't fall for a man not interested in marriage. Casey admits he wants to seduce her but also feels guilty because he doesn't want marriage. She again ticks off her requirements for a husband, a description of a man Casey doesn't believe is suitable for her at all. He goes after her clothes and Alex settles in for a nap while he is gone.

Alex doesn't wake until the next morning. Casey is in the kitchen frying bacon...
