Chapter 21 Summary
Rosie and Marco celebrate a rare moment alone in the midst of the investigation. Everything seems to be coming together. Soon the case will be solved, and they can get married.
Chapter 21 Analysis
Following the dismal developments of Chapter 20, and the fact that Raymond's mother has Marco targeted for death, the reader should have a deep sense of foreboding while reading this happy little scene. The juxtaposition sets the mood, and the very short length of the chapter sets it off as a quick scene in the middle of mounting trepidation.
