Marco visits Rosie, looking ragged from his dubious promotion. He proposes they get married (in one week!) and she accepts. Finally, Marco breaks down, and swears vengeance on Senator Iselin. Marco relates that he is unlikely to murder Iselin, even as he contemplates the ease of such a task, but vows that he will avenge his honor.
