Chapter 7 Summary

Marco returns from Korea, and takes up residence in Raymond's apartment. To Shaw's own amazement, he does not mind at all. There is also an explanation of Raymond's system of avoiding the use of money by having his bank arrange for everything, a quirky habit that those he must do business with have come to accept. Raymond's habit of buying sex is also explored at length, complete with a caveat that he would have as soon ignored sex altogether if not for Dr. Yen Lo's subconscious suggestion. When Marco moves in, however, Shaw's whole world changes, and ready (but free) women come and go from his apartment every night, since the captain always brings enough to share.

Raymond is again surprised to find he enjoys the new status quo. One night, though, Marco wakes.....
