Summary

In Chapter 35, Magnus, Mallory and Samirah discuss their options as the giant’s speed towards them. Magnus asks if Samirah could outfly them. Samirah is fast, but would not be able to outfly them carrying two people. Mallory suggests Sam take the mead back to ship. A group of crows over hear, and suggest to Magnus that both Mallory and Samirah go back to the ship.

They promise to help Magnus in exchange for something shiny. Sam and Mallory decide their best bet is for Mallory to hide inside the magical walnut Frigg gave them, that way she will be easy to transport. Samirah flies away, and Magnus asks the crows what their plan is. The crows do not have a plan, and only meant they were willing to help. Magnus instructs them to fly into the giant’s face and distract them...
