Summary

In Chapter 15, Magnus helps Alex train Samirah. He calls out animals at random, while Sam and Alex spar. Sam must change into the animal called out. Alex then asks Magnus to get Jack to spar with Sam as well. Jack and Magnus double team Sam. Alex uses a clicker to signal to Sam to change shape at random intervals, to encourage Sam to change without second guessing herself.

Sam does better at combat than Magnus, who trips and struggles to stay upright as the ship moves. Magnus comments to Sam that he does not understand how she can train so hard while fasting. Sam takes the comment personally, telling him he really means he does not know why she does it.
