Summary

At the beginning of Chapter 7, Samirah remarks on the color of their long ship and Alex jokes they should name the ship Big Banana. Halfborn agrees, calling the ship Mikilgulr (old Norse for ‘big yellow’). Magnus prays sarcastically for his father Frey to change the color of the ship and to stop embarrassing him. Magnus greets Amir, and recalls how Amir was kind to him during his period of homelessness. Amir asks how he is doing and Magnus responds that he is doing as good as can be expected given the circumstances. Sam warns Magnus not to get Amir agitated, as she has spent the last few days trying to convince Amir not to worry.
