Summary

Chapter 6 is written from the third person perspectives of Ellie, Julia, and Max.

Ellie holds a press conference hoping to get press coverage to find Alice’s identity. However, the reporters are not happy that they only have a drawing of her and Mort asks questions about whether she can speak which causes reporters to wonder if she will not speak. From there, the reporters ask questions about the abilities they heard of that allowed her to get in and out of the tree.

Unaware of the press conference, Julia goes to the police station with Max. They talk about his ownership of a Harley-Davidson and about Alice. Julia believes that it was something she said that caused Alice to attack her. They also talk about what she has learned thus far and her conclusions. Max finds it odd that he cannot get...
