Patti Smith’s Apartment

Patti Smith lived in a two-story apartment in Greenwich Village, Lower Manhattan while writing this book. As described in her memoirs, there was a skylight above her bed from which she watched the skies, weather, stars, and moon. She lived with her cats, one of them an Abyssinian. Her apartment was filled with objects of sentimental importance to her and seemed to be in a state of mixed order and disorder.

Café ‘Ino

Café ‘Ino was an Italian café and wine bar on Bedford Street in Greenwich Village. Smith lived a short walk from it, across Sixth Avenue, and had ‘her’ table in it.
