"Sparks" is narrated from a first-person point of view by a somewhat unreliable narrator named Lil. The narrator is a woman probably in her mid-twenties. Lil narrates a story about an evening party she attended a few nights earlier. Throughout the narration, she remembers prior events she experienced with Duer, a former lover.
