Valora Luck

Valora is the daughter of a Chinese father and a British mother and Jamie's twin sister. She has Chinese facial features and often wishes she looked more like her mother because of the anti-Chinese sentiment in this era. Valora and Jamie often performed in the park as children to earn money to feed the family, and Valora found it so exciting that she wants to be a performer in America. She feels certain this would provide a good life for her and Jamie. Also, it would reunite them after being apart for a couple of years. Over just a few days aboard the Titanic, Valora learns that she cannot impose her own dreams onto Jamie, and she comes to accept that they want different things in life.
