Summary

Chapter 36

(flashback)

Teddi thinks back to her childhood. There was a winter where her brother was sleeping in the barn, which upset their mother. Teddi went out to bring him cookies. She stayed with him and he told her about hawks. He revealed he was staying outside so he could feed an old injured bobcat. Teddi told Josh that he was a good person and there was a special spot in heaven for him. Josh responded by saying that all he cared about was that he was with the animals.

Chapter 37

Back in the present, Teddi is still reeling from what she heard from Gabe. She goes through the notes that Josh had left her, and looks at the arrow she took from the barn. She then goes to the library to get a book on arrowheads, trying to compare the arrow she...
