Summary

Chapter 31

Teddi goes to spend the evening at Stella’s. They start talking about Teddi’s mother. Stella said that her mother had really been looking forward to the trip because she wanted to apologize to Teddi for all the tension between them. Stella explains that Teddi’s mother always had a hard time in life. She used to be full of energy, but taking care of Teddi’s father slowly got rid of that. She was jealous that Teddi’s father only snapped out of his depression when Teddi was born, as if being a father was more important to him than being a good husband. Teddi is surprised, but happy to hear that her mother really did love her. She and Stella scatter Teddi’s mother ashes in Stella’s garden, since Teddi felt it was only right that her mother...
