Summary

Chapter 21

Teddi sends Olivia away while she finishes up in the house. She thinks about how unhappy her mother used to be in life, and how she hated to dwell on the past. Teddi decides she’s not going to be like that. While she is going through her mother's things she finds a beautiful and elegant nightgown that she knows her mother never wore. She wonders why. She loads up her car with everything that she can possibly carry because she doesn’t want to forget about her mother, just like she doesn’t want to forget about her father or Josh. She reveals that the reason she was never able to buy a house like her mother wanted was because she was helping to front the bill for Belle’s retirement home.
