Chapters 14 and 15 Summary

Marnie is cooking dinner for David's birthday, including decorating a cake. She plans to go with David to take his driving test but David calls and says that Law has arrived to take him. Marnie reassures herself that her gift for David is "going to put stars in his eyes." They finish dinner and Law offers to help clear the table for the cake. David says that since it's his birthday, he plans to remain at the table and do nothing more strenuous than belch. In the kitchen, Law presses against Marnie's breasts and she immediately responds. They kiss passionately before Marnie lights the candles and takes the cake to the living room. They eat the cake then David opens his first gift - a set of clothes from Marnie. Just.....
