Chapters 3 and 4 Summary

Marnie is leaving to visit her mother in the rest home but Law insists that he'll take her. On the way, Law continues to say that he can't understand why he doesn't remember sleeping with Marnie. He also mentions her size, saying that she seems too small to carry a child. When they arrive at the rest home, Marnie tells him that she doesn't know who could have sent the letters, that she never wanted him to know about David, and walks away believing that will be the end of it. She stays with her mother for an hour and when she leaves the room, she finds Law waiting for her. Law says he wanted to continue their conversation but first asks Marnie about her mother.
