Chapter 4 - Welcome to Hell, Gentlemen

At the beginning of Chapter 4, Marcus had experienced his last day of Indoc He noticed that over 50 of the men who started out in the class never finished. He never noticed them leave, even his roommate. Next the group has to go through BUD/S. They had to survive Hell Week then go on to pool competency and weapons practicals.

Training was even more brutal than ever and 32 men dropped out before lunch the first day. This was several weeks before the official Hell Week. The men were relentlessly pushed, both physically and mentally. They ran, were sent into the icy surf only to come back and roll in sand and do pushups, hauled heavy logs, and had their pristine rooms trashed as they were yelled at.
