Ruby

Ruby is seventeen when her mother vanishes. Ruby believes she can hold out for the few months remaining until she turns eighteen but her landlord catches on to the fact that she's living alone and turns the situation over to officials. Ruby is taken into custody and handed over to her sister, Cora, who she hasn't seen in a decade. Ruby is a self-confident but misguided.
