Solitaire is gone, Bond and Leiter see tire marks outside and they know she was forced into the large case and taken. They search the rooms but find nothing useful, so they just sit and have a drink. They decide to go after The Robber in the morning and track down Solitaire. Bond goes to bed and leaves Leiter on the couch still drinking whiskey. When Bond wakes in the morning Leiter is gone, but Bond finds a note from him saying he has gone down to The Robber's store to look for Solitaire.
