Little Birds Summary

Manuel is an artist who, with his wife, Therese, is looking for an apartment. They find one but Manuel doesn't like it because the lighting in it is bad. Manuel begins to look around for another place to rent. Manuel happens upon a place to rent. It is rather plan looking but has large rooms and opens to a beautiful terrace that overlooks a girl's school where there are young girls playing. That evening Manuel brings his wife to the apartment to show her what he has found. When they get to the apartment it is dark and she announces that she would never live in such a place and doesn't care about the terrace or the light.

The next day Manuel goes and rents the apartment without his wife's knowledge and begins to work on the rooms. Before long he has them painted, fixed and looking wonderful. When...
