Chapter 17, The Hunting of the White Stag Summary

The battle ends quickly when the White Witch's army sees that she is dead. Everyone either runs away or gives themselves up. Peter tells Aslan that it is all Edmund's doing, that he broke the White Witch's wand when no one else had thought to do so. However, Edmund has suffered a mortal wound as a result. Aslan calls for Lucy to administer her magic cordial. When Lucy does, she wants to stay and make sure it works, but Aslan reminds her that there are many other mortally wounded men on the battlefield. Lucy leaves her brother to administer to them. When she is finally allowed to return, she discovers that Edmund has recovered fully.

That night they all stay on the battlefield and Aslan somehow manages to.....
