Chapter 14, The Triumph of the Witch Summary

When the Witch is gone, Aslan announces that they must move on. Although everyone wants to ask what deal Aslan struck with the Witch, no one dares. Therefore, everyone busies themselves with the preparations to move. During the first part of the journey, Aslan explains to Peter his plan to battle the Witch, telling Peter he may not be at the battle. Through the last of the journey, Aslan is quiet and seems sad. The evening meal is a somber affair due to Aslan's mood and Peter's fear of battling the Witch alone.

Susan is unable to sleep that night and discovers that Lucy is awake as well. They slip out of the pavilion to find Aslan and see him slipping into the wood. After a while, Aslan catches.....
