Stella

Stella is the main character of the novel. She is a senior in high school who is writing down the events and memories during her last two weeks of high school. Stella also intends on committing suicide, so it is also the last two weeks of her life that she is documenting. When Stella was eleven, her parents both died of drug overdoses during her birthday party.

Stella came to live with her foster parents, the Roths, at that time. She has been living with them ever since. Stella has been accepted into Princeton University, which she plans on attending the college in the fall. Stella is very smart, attractive and has always been a diligent student.

Once Stella decides to kill herself, however, she decides that she doesn't have to play by the rules anymore. Since she lost her parents, Stella also avoids forming bonds and relationships...
