Chapter 9 Summary

Saturday, Stella wakes up at 1 p.m. when she goes downstairs, she overhears Simon and Shana playing a game of who am I? when she peeks around the corner, she sees them slow dancing with their eyes shut, but not holding each other very closely. Stella thinks about how much these two people are still strangers to her even though she has been living with them for the last six years.

She runs out of the house and hears Simon calling after her. Stella thinks about how much she wants to be related to Donald right now as she runs.
