Dietrich Bonhoeffer
Dietrich Bonhoeffer is the author of Life Together: The Classic Exploration of Faith in Community. He accepts a position in 1935 to lead an illegal secret seminary located in Finkenwalde, Germany. His job as director of the seminary is training young pastors. This non-fiction work is his journal of spiritual reflections, beliefs and recommendations to guide life together in the seminary. Bonhoeffer, the narrator of the book, has authored several other books. Born and raised in a German family of seven children and a psychiatrist father, Dietrich and his siblings are a happy family living in the suburbs of Berlin. He is an athletic and musical child who plays the piano. He learns from his father that Christianity is not just an intellectual theory but is much more a way of living. Bonhoeffer decides to study theology at the age of sixteen. He is taught by many famous German teachers....
