The sun rose on the next day. The rain stopped and Pi found himself exhausted and frozen to the bone. He clung to his plan of waging war on the tiger, although at the moment he couldn't remember what his plan was. He wrapped himself in his wet blanket and fell asleep. The sun dried and warmed him and his blanket and he awoke. Richard Parker stood up on the edge of the boat and peered his way.
