Daylight came and with it Pi felt hopeful. He was thankful to have made it through the night and he was sure he would be rescued today. He imagined the reunion with his family and what he would say. Then he noticed that the hyena had eaten off the leg of the zebra during the night. He felt sorry for the suffering zebra. As the day wore on, he felt queasy from all the motion of the boat. Pi wondered what had become of Orange Juice. He spotted her at the front of the boat, slouched over and holding on to the side of the boat. She was seasick.
